Tie Kuan Yin
Tie Kuan Yin
The translation of Tie Kuan Yin is "Iron Goddess of Mercy." Our Tie Kuan Yin is made from the authentic cultivar, Tie Kuan Yin , using hand-picked tender buds and nearly fully opened leaves as raw materials. During the production process, we emphasize approximately 40% oxidation, allowing the tea leaves to naturally release mature fruity aromas. The tea, due to the cloth-wrapped rolling and slow roasting, carries a hint of soft fruit acidity. Even before roasting, the tea liquor exhibits a crystal-clear amber color; after light roasting, it showcases the unique Kuanyin flavor—vibrant and long-lasting in the throat, sweet without being cloying.

More about Tie Kuan Yin
Natural Fruity Aroma: Derived from sufficient oxidation (35–40%) and the characteristics of the Tie Kuan Yin cultivar, combined with the Maillard reaction from light roasting, creating the classic Kuanyin flavor.
Unique Fragrance: This flavor is often described as having sweet potato and toasted rice aromas, making it distinct and enchanting.
Traditional Craftsmanship: The traditional rolling method is done by hand, keeping the tea balls in a semi-spherical shape, allowing for deeper roasting during processing. The appearance remains elegantly semi-spherical.
Our tea master, Kunlin Zhang, employs a method of 40% oxidation, Tie Kuan Yin cultivar and light roasting to produce the authentic Kuanyin charm. Taiwanese Tie Kuan Yin is a cup that blends craftsmanship, oxidation, and roasting, offering an elegant, rich, and memorable tea aroma experience.
